Captain’s Grille becomes Ale & Compass

Back in May, we told you about the Market at Ale & Compass opening at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. This was the first major step in the re-imagining of dining options at the nautical-themed resort. This re-imagining will also include a re-imagined lobby lounge and new concept for the former Captain’s Grille.

A brand new Ale & Compass concept will make its debut in October when the lobby lounge is reconstructed with not only new interior, but guests should be happy to hear that it will expand to 58 seats and offer a new menu of classic cocktails and light bites.

The biggest change is the nearby Captain’s Grille, which will become Ale & Compass Restaurant.

“The Ale & Compass Restaurant menu is still in the works, but the re-imagined restaurant will have a gastropub ambiance with New England-inspired comfort food, open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. An on-stage hearth oven is the focal point. Décor is inspired by the cozy warmth of a lighthouse, as a comforting respite from the outside world. The casual, table-service restaurant is on the Disney Dining Plan.”

We’ll be sure to report menu updates as they become available.
