Episode 235 – Creative Director and Author Dave Bossert

Bryan RipperPodcast

This week we are talking with someone who has worked on dozens of Disney animated films like The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, Hercules, and more! Dave Bossert has not only had a hand in creating Disney classics, he has also worked on restoring several older Disney classics like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella, and Pinocchio. In addition, he has also authored some terrific books that chronicle and archive some of the Disney company’s best stories and behind the scenes adventures. His newest book, “Oswald the Lucky Rabbit: The Search for the Lost Disney Cartoons”, takes an inside look at one of Walt’s first animated major success and the journey to locate and reclaim these early gems.

In the news this week, Disneyland gets a new high-end hotel, some familiar parades, and a new nighttime fireworks show, Walt Disney World ramps up festivities for Christmas, the Disney Cruise Line revamps the classic “Be our guest” number in their “Beauty and the Beast” stage show, and much more!

Jonathan is out this week, so our good friend Sarah Evans is joining us again on the show as co-host.
