Stitch’s Great Escape To Switch To Seasonal Status

Bryan RipperNews

We have good news and bad news, depending on what side you’re on, as it pertains to Stitch’s Great Escape in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom. Saturday, October 1st will be the last day of regular operation for Stitch. As of October 2nd, the attraction will switch to “seasonal” status, meaning that it will no longer be open on a daily basis. It will be open seasonally as park attendance demands. This has been confirmed by a Walt Disney World spokewoman, and the Walt Disney World official web site already has seasonal dates listed as Nov. 19-26 and Dec. 17-Jan. 2.

This doesn’t look good for fans of Stitch’s Great Escape, because many attractions eventually close permanently after being labeled with “seasonal” status. Many fans remember the Wonders of Life pavilion at Epcot that was open seasonally before it finally shut down for good; at least the attractions inside of it. On the other hand, this could be very good news, if you’re in the camp as being someone who never cared for it and have been waiting for something new to move into that location. We’ll keep you posted on any further developments regarding Stitch’s Great Escape.
