On this week’s show, I’m joined by Janette Pellegrini to talk about her recent experience at Live at the New Am: A Benefit Concert for the Actors Fund on Broadway in New York City. The New Amsterdam Theater is currently home to Disney’s Aladdin on Broadway and upon the re-opening of the theater after it shut down for over a year due to COVID, Disney on Broadway presented a 4-show run of Disney Broadway stars singing hits from Disney’s Broadway shows like Frozen, The Lion King, Aladdin, and Beauty and the Beast to benefit The Actor’s Fund, which has gone to award grants totaling over $22 million to support 16,000 entertainment professionals since the pandemic began.

Together, we’ll talk about the event and the unbelievable Broadway talent and stars that were on hand to perform like Ashley Brown from Mary Poppins, Michael James Scott from Aladdin, Kissy Simons from The Lion King, and Josh Strickland from Tarzan.
