The Disney Cruise Line is getting ready to add some exciting new enhancements to the Disney Wonder. The Disney Wonder is currently in dry dock, while they make quite a few upgrades to the ship. Some of the most notable upgrades will be to dining, clubs, and the pool and water play areas.

Tiana’s Place – One of the biggest additions that will be coming to the Wonder is Tiana’s Place. This is a restaurant that will feature dishes inspired by New Orleans and The Princess and the Frog animated Disney film. In addition to the Louisiana cuisine, there will also be live music provided by a jazz troupe. All of this will come together to resemble a real New Orleans supper club.

Marvel Superhero’s Academy – The Oceaneer’s Club will get a superhero comic book makeover with new activities and themed around Marvel’s wonderful world of superheroes. Spider Man will even be on hand to teach kids how to master their own superhero skills. There will even be a fancy new computer-generated video game going in that will allow kids to move their favorite superheroes by moving their feet.

There are also a ton of other additions that are coming to the children’s area including a recreation of Andy’s room from Toy Story where kids can embark on a multilevel adventure with Woody and Jesse, an experience where Olaf, from Frozen, leads kids through imaginative play culminating in a surprise visit from Anna and Elsa, and Club Disney Junior, for the tiny tots, where Doc McStuffins will be on hand to help with story-times and games. We’ll also see enhancements coming to It’s a Small World nursery and the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.

Cheers. English Pub – This is a new bar that will be going in that will offer a selection of British brews and specialty beers. The environment will be designed to resemble that of traditional British pubs.

Enhancements to pools, water slides, and play areas – The Wonder will be receiving some nice upgrades to their water areas as well, including the addition of Dory’s Splash Zone water play area, the Aqualab pool and interactive water play zone, and the Twist and Spout water slide.

More! – In addition to all of these enhancements, guests can also expect to see updates to the After Hours entertainment district, which will include a brand new night club. Sense Spa and Salon has some changes coming including a new Chill Teen Spa, and Animator’s Palate will introduce two new dinner shows, “Drawn to Magic” and “Animator’s Magic Dinner Show”. You can also expect to see some updates coming to Cabanas Food Court and the teen hang-out spot Edge.

The Disney Wonder will return to sea on November 10, where it will resume transporting guests on cruises from Texas to the Bahamas and the Caribbean.
