Voice actor and comedian Chuck McCann passed away Sunday as a result of congestive heart failure according to his publicist Edward Lozzi.

Chuck McCann’s body of work spanned across many fields and genres, but Disney fans probably know him best as the voice of The Dreamfinder in Epcot’s classic attraction, Journey into Imagination.

Chuck also did other voice work for Disney including: Heff Huffalump and Tigger’s gangster look-alike in The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, multiple characters including Duckworth, Burger Beagle, and Bouncer Beagle from DuckTales, Santa Clause in Mickey’s Twice Upon A Christmas, and he even performed in the role of Lootsgarden from Disney’s “Herbie Rides Again”.

McCann was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 2, 1934. He moved to Los Angeles in the 1970’s and made guest appearances on various television shows like Columbo and Little House on the Prairie. Later he turned his career towards voice acting in animation. Some of his other notable non-Disney roles that he performed were Mayor Grafton in The Garfield Show and Sonny the Cuckoo Bird with his classic line, “I’m cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs”.

Chuck is survived by Elizabeth Fanning, his wife, and his two daughters.
