On this week’s feature discussion show, we’re featuring a documentary done by Timeline about the the real Mary Poppins. If you’ve seen the 2013 film “Saving Mr. Banks”, you probably know the basics of this story of Walt Disney’s persistence with the author of the Mary Poppins books, Pamela Travers, in an effort to bring Mary Poppins to the big screen. Now, we’ll hear from people who were knew them both and witnessed the events as they unfolded as well as learn about Pamela’s childhood, father, and the birth of Mary Poppins.
