Beginning July 11, reservations will be open for three uniquely-themed parties set to take place on New Year’s Eve at the Convention Center at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

The first party, “Disney Countdown to Midnight,” will take place from 8:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m. in the Fantasia Ballroom and will feature an evening of dining and dancing exclusively for guests ages 18 and up. An interactive band and DJ will be on hand – Mickey and Minnie might stop by as well! Champagne flutes and New Year’s Eve fireworks will complete the evening.

The second party is for guests of all ages and runs from 8:00 p.m. until 12:15 a.m. The “Pixar Party: A New Year’s Eve Celebration” will provide families a way to ring in the New Year together with a buffet-style, Disney Pixar-inspired dinner.

Sarge will welcome guests to the Ballroom of the Americas where the decor will re-create the extraordinary worlds of Pixar films such as Andy’s Room in Toy Story and Metro City in The Incredibles. Theatrical backdrops, exciting set pieces, and entertaining props will fill the entire room. Beloved characters from Toy Story, The Incredibles, Cars, and Up will also be in attendance. Kids will enjoy Pixar face painting, a balloon artist, and boot camp with Sarge. Also, a Cars-inspired, interactive DJ will play Radio Disney hits allowing guests to dance the night away.
At midnight, head outside to ring in the New Year by viewing the Magic Kingdom fireworks.

The theme of the third party, “Down in New Orleans: A Disney New Year’s Eve Dining Experience,” is inspired by The Princess and the Frog. This event is all about fine dining and will take place in the Grand Republic Ballroom that will be elegantly decorated in French Quarter-style to transport you to the Big Easy.

Dining stations will feature items such as “oyster beignets, smoked salmon mousse cones with caviar, Kobe beef tartare and sheep’s milk ricotta gnocchi. Signature dishes will include herb-crusted Louisiana redfish, crayfish etouffee, Balck Angus beef cooked two ways, braised short ribs and filet of beef with truffled celery root silk.”

A N’awlins jazz band will entertain guests during dinner and will be joined later in the evening by a vocalist. Guests will be invited to head outside with a glass of bubbly just prior to midnight to ring in 2018 with a private viewing area for the Magic Kingdom fireworks. The hours of this party are from 7:00 p.m. until 12:15 a.m.
